  • Steve DeGrave

    Dr. Steve DeGrave grew up on a family farm in the Green Bay area.  He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990.  He practiced both large and small animal medicine at area clinics before opening Riverside Animal Hospital in 1996.  He enjoys practicing medicine and interacting with clients to help them keep their pets healthy.

    In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife Jodie and two children Michael and Anna.  Completing the family are two black labs: Kate and Ellie.  Dr.DeGrave also enjoys golfing, skiing, biking, playing racquetball, fishing, spending time with friends, and working in his yard.

    Dr.DeGrave is committed to providing quality veterinary care in a compassionate manner to all of his clients.
  • Mandy Ruffing

    Dr. Mandy Ruffing grew up a little north of Green Bay in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin.  She earned her bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and then went on to Veterinary School at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Dr.Ruffing enjoys living out in the country with her husband Mike and their sweet little girl Emma.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, baking, and training for half marathons with her running buddy, her standard poodle, Pippin.
  • Andrea Moede

    Dr. Andrea Moede grew up in DePere and enjoys practicing in the community she grew up in.  She obtained her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and her degree in veterinary medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in Pamona, California.  She has a calico kitty named "Bunny" that moved back with her from California and a sweet little Pomeranian Mix named "Billie". Dr. Moede enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, Allison, as well as traveling, biking, rollerblading, and playing volleyball.
  • Jennifer Knorr

    Dr. Jenny Knorr dreamed of becoming a veterinarian from the time she was a young girl growing up in rural Shiocton, Wisconsin.  She graduated in 2009 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine.  Prior to veterinary school, she obtained a BS from UW-Green Bay.

    Dr. Knorr believes that veterinary medicine is as much about caring for people as it is about caring for patients.  She is proud to be part of the team at Riverside Animal Hospital.  Her professional interests lie in the area of preventative medicine, internal medicine, dermatology, and pain management.

    Dr. Knorr shares her life with her husband Kraig and their sons Isaac and Cameron. They share their home with Sophie, a French Bulldog, as well as Osie the cat.  She enjoys spending time with her family, biking, reading, hiking, kayaking, and traveling.
  • Alyssa Baratta-Martin

    Dr. Alyssa Baratta-Martin grew up in a rural area just outside the city of Dixon, IL. She received her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science in 2013, and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2017, both from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. She and her husband, Andrew, have a fun-loving black lab named Lily, and they enjoy fishing, hiking, and watching movies together in their free time.
  • Angela V.

    Angela VerKuilen has been working in the vet field since 1998.  She has been working for Dr.DeGrave at Riverside Animal Hospital since 2001, and became a CVT in 2009.  Jasmine is her 10 year old shihtzu that comes to work with her from time to time to watch patients come and go.

    Angela lives with her husband, Will, and her five children.  The diversity of the day's at Riverside keep an ongoing interest and love for the job, but in her spare time you will find her with her family traveling, backpacking, hiking or just enjoying a good run.
  • Joanne

    Vet Assistant
    Joanne Behnke has been working as a veterinary assistant for 27 years.  The last 11 years have been at Riverside Animal Hospital.  She performs many of the daily lab duties and spends a large portion of her day with client communication.  She is married to Ron and has 2 children--Gwynne and Neil and 8 grandchildren.  Joanne's time away from work is spent on their 10 acre farm caring for 3 dogs, 1 house cat, 3 horses, 4 steers, 4 barn cats and 50 laying hens.

    Ron and Joanne enjoy bird hunting with their two black labs Nadia and Kate and Dexter, their German Shepherd.  Joanne also enjoys trail riding and camping excursions with her 35 year old horse Cody and new horse Doogie.  Retirement could be in the near future but with the wonderful doctors and co-workers at Riverside, she hopes to be here for a while!
  • Angela A.

    Vet Assistant
    Angela has worked at Riverside Animal Hospital since 2009.  She graduated Horizon School of Veterinary Assisting in 2009 and has been working at Riverside since. Angela loves traveling, photography and being outside. She has two cats, Nelly and Marty and her St.Bernard/wiener dog mix, Willa.
  • Becky

    Becky is a Certified Veterinary Technician who has worked in the field for 19years, starting out as a receptionist.  She has 11 critters at home, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, a hamster and a chinchilla.  In her spare time, she enjoys sports, mostly softball and volleyball.  She has two daughters, Katelyn and Kyah, who would love to follow in her footsteps!
  • Nicole

    Vet Assistant
    Nicole has worked as a vet assistant at Riverside Animal Hospital since 2004.  She has a small hobby farm that includes goats, a pot belly pig, rabbits, chickens and ducks.  She also has three dogs and five cats.  In her spare time she enjoys volunteering at her children's school, gardening and spending time with friends and family.
  • Stephanie

    Stephanie is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) and has worked at Riverside Animal Hospital since June 2010.  She graduated from UW-River Falls with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science, and from Madison Area Technical College as a Veterinary Technician in 2010.

    Stephanie owns a miniature dachshund named Allie, and two Rat Terrier's named Aubri and Andi,  five cats, and two rabbits.

    Vet Assistant
    Jess has been working at Riverside Animal Hospital since October 2010.  She enjoys spending time with her furry son, Frankie, who is a Border Collie mix and her furry daughter, Bambi, who is an Australian Cattle Dog Mix. She loves to hike, be outdoors and spend time with friends and family.
  • Jenna

    Jenna graduated from the Veterinary Technology Program at Globe University in Sept. 2013 and began working at Riverside Animal Hospital soon after. She has been working alongside animals since she entered the workforce, beginning at a local doggy day care. When she's not working, she spends her time with her friends, rollerblading, and playing other various sports. She has one furry friend at home, Nina, a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix or "Chiweenie".

    Office Manager
    Elizabeth started working at Riverside in August 2011. She was raised in Wausau but now considers Green Bay her home. She spends her spare time with her sassy Puggle named Lola, her Fiance' Greg and their sweet baby boy Everett. She enjoys working at Riverside and getting to know the clients and all their wonderful pets!

    Heather started working at Riverside in July 2017.
    She was raised in Hilbert, WI but has now made
    Green Bay her home. She spends her spare time
    with family and friends, traveling with her husband
    or playing with her dachshund, Wally. Wally keeps her
    occupied with playing fetch and going for walks.

    Nina graduated from Globe University in March 2017 and started working at Riverside shortly after. She enjoys hiking, fishing, and playing volleyball. She has a cat named Kitty and a Pomeranian named Jasper.
  • Kristin


    Kristin started working at Riverside in October 2017. She grew up in Pulaski and has always enjoyed the area. In her free time, she likes to spend time outside and volunteers at the Wildlife Sanctuary rehabilitating injured and orphaned animals. She has two pets of her own; a cat named Nova and a Pomeranian named Calypso.
